Unit Precision
Metric: lengths in meters (m), thickness in millimeters (mm), density in kg/m³. Weights output in metric tonnes (1,000 kg).
Imperial: feet (ft), inches (in), lb/ft³. Outputs in square feet, cubic yards, and short tons (2,000 lbs). All math uses high-precision metric conversion internally.
Bitumen (also called asphalt binder) is a sticky, black, viscous material derived from crude oil. It acts as the glue that binds aggregate particles together in road construction. Bitumen makes up roughly 4–7% of a typical asphalt mix by weight, yet it determines the pavement’s flexibility, durability, and resistance to weather.
